Midsummer’s Dream | Handmade Magic

I am the artist and designer behind these exquisite handmade and hand-painted skirts. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind work of textile art that is custom made for my patrons.

The skirts are constructed with a double layer and a stretchy foldover yoga waistband. The top layer features a circumference of approximately 8 meters and is made up of 26 individual panels that are each painted by hand with a unique image. The underskirt has a circumference of about 4 meters and is decorated with a 15cm wide border that is also painted by hand. The skirts are made of natural rayon fabric and are adorned with acrylic paint and copper leaf. These flowy gems can also be converted into a dress with the simple addition of shoulder straps.

In terms of care, it is recommended to wash the skirt separately in cool water by hand or on a gentle cycle and to tumble dry on low heat to protect it from wear and tear. If necessary, the skirt can be ironed on the reverse side or with a piece of cotton cloth placed between the painted design and the iron.

These handmade and hand-painted skirts are priced at $3000 to $4500, with an additional charge of $200 to $300 for materials. The final price is dependent on the complexity of the design and the overall length of the skirt’s circumference.
